The South African Jewish Museum

One of the more cutting edge museums on the Cape Town scene, the South African Jewish Museum offers visitors a unique experience with its bold architectural design and interactive media displaying highlights of history of Jewish life in South Africa.

The entrance of the museum is situated in the Old Synagogue built in 1863. One of the rare artefacts that can be seen is the animated video footage of the famous Barney Barnato and Max Rose, and an award-winning documentary film Nelson Mandela, A Righteous Man, which is screened throughout the day.
