HOW TO MAKE A SERVICE REQUEST

The City’s IS&T Department has recently launched the City of Cape Town online eServices platform which allows residents to transact with the City from the comfort of their own homes, saving them time and money.
A wide variety of service faults ranging from the querying of municipal billing information to the reporting of burst water mains can now be reported on-line via the city’s official website. These queries are then managed by a customer relations agent who will log the request onto the City’s C3 notification site.

This service is available using a PC and iPhone. In order to log a service request on-line:
  • Log onto the City’s website – www.capetown.gov.za
  • Choose the “Service Requests” option on the left hand side of the screen.
  • Follow the prompts.
Once logged, the service request is automatically routed directly to the service department concerned which will monitor the resolution of the query on a daily basis. The person logging the service request receives a reference number that can be used to follow up on the service request if necessary.
