Giggling gourmet and renowned celebrity, Jenny Morris’ beautiful eatery is known as Yumcious in the Cape Quarter. We’re very excited about this recent addition that has already become a favourite amongst locals and tourists alike. Jenny is very involved in her new store so you might even be lucky enough to meet her if you stop by.
Opened in December 2015, the eatery offers customers breakfast, lunch and other delicious homely and healthy meals. Jenny has had a passion and love for feeding people since she can remember and the fact that she is absolutely in love with food is evident in her culinary creations. She always makes sure that freshness is at the centre of what she does.
If you’re keen on a healthy lunch, the KiloTable, or the “weigh and pay salad bar” is your best choice, offering a variety of salads and dishes packed with goodness. To keep things interesting, the menu changes daily and includes popular dishes such as spinach and feta cheesecake, mushroom cheesecake, roasted tomato tart, Norwegian salmon and spinach cakes. Jenny’s travels inspire her dishes, so customers can expect meals full of flavour, colour, texture and different ingredients – mixed together in a unique way to bring you true masterpieces.
If you don’t feel like putting together your own meal, you can opt for a burger, steak and mushroom pie, their famous pork belly or a sandwich with a twist. One of the favourites being the French Kiss – French toast with honey butter and whipped orange. You can also pop in for a sweet treat and enjoy a slice of chocolate cake with caramel, pink rose water meringues, rocky road or marshmallows.
Make sure you don’t miss any exciting additions to the menu or yummy specials by following Yumcious on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Also, keep the eatery in mind for a birthday celebration and let Jenny and her team spoil you!
