The city seems to be getting back into the rhythm of things and recovering well from the holiday rush. There were 19 successful arrests made in January, and a total of 26 criminal and municipal incidents were reported in the GP/OKCID area. Thank you to those partner with our team. We are grateful for your help in keeping our city safe.
The highest number of incidents continues to be theft from motor vehicles. Be extra cautious and do not leave anything visible in your vehicle. There were 19 incidents of this crime reported last month.
General theft is the second most reported incident, with eight reports last month. Make sure that you are not a target:
- Be extra vigilant when walking in the city.
- Do not check your phone in quiet areas, it distracts you from being aware of your surroundings.
- Try not to carry around valuables – if you must, keep them hidden.
