You’ve probably driven past it at night and seen people overflowing onto the street. Power and the Glory isn’t just a vibrant bar at night, it’s also a charming spot to visit during the day, with a book or your laptop, to enjoy their delicious coffee in a colourful cup while making use of their free wifi. It’s the place you wouldn’t expect to have such a homely vibe. Especially on cold days.

Pepper Tree Cafe

What used to be a Melissa’s Cafe, andlocated at the top of Kloof Street, this French-style coffee shop/ deli offers great coffee and breakfast. The kind of place you visit for the ambience. They also have some of the best fresh Bread and cheesecake, which can be enjoyed against a backdrop of Table Mountain.

Yours Truly

Located right in the hub of Kloof Street, where you’ll find trendy baristas and tourists from the hostel above. You almost forget you’re in the middle of Cape Town. Yours Truly’s atmosphere has a relaxed, laid back feel to it. The cafe is flooded with natural light and has lots of space to work, as well as WIFI and delicious hot chocolate to give you and incentive to work toward! The perfect mix of minimalistic and steam punk, they will spoil you with an array of different types of coffee.
