4 must try coffee shops in Green Point

The days of sandy feet and sun kissed faces are almost over, as we slowly change from sundresses to cardigans, and from iced coffees to warm cappuccinos.

All those who live and work in the Green Point area are truly lucky to be so close to the seaside for a promenade walk, and to relax in one of the many beautiful coffee shops Green Point has to offer.

Whether it’s to wake up, recharge, or spend a day in, here’s a guide of our four go-to coffee spots in Green Point.

Tea in the Park

If you’re just looking for some serene alone time, this is the place to go. Situated in the beautiful Green Point Urban Park, it’s the perfect spot to read a book and chill for a couple of hours, with a cup of coffee (or tea, as their name suggests). Tea in the Park allows you to step into a tranquil space and take a little break from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Origin Coffee Roasting

This gem is also known as the ‘God Father’ of speciality coffee in South Africa.

If you’re a self-proclaimed coffee connoisseur or caffeine addict, Origin is probably already one of your coffee shop go-tos, so this mention is more to show them some appreciation than anything else.

Origin Coffee Roasting offers a wide variety of different coffee beans, and with an offering of over 50 different single-origin coffees every year, you’re sure to find something that’ll hit the spot, no matter your flavour palette. It’s not a place for consistency in flavour, but it is consistently good. There breakfast menu is pretty darn good too.
